I am 54 and to be honest I have seen many miracles in my lifetime. I remember my Dad gathering our family around the table with the news that my mom had ovarian cancer. You can image how how that would be to hear as a child. The good news is Daddy taught us all to pray and the doctor came back with a good report! Another miracle happened the day my mother came home from the doctor in 1962 with the news that they were going to schedule her to have the baby removed as I had died. My parents had a friend Joel Darby who had his church pray for them when they went back to the doctor the evidence after testing came back.. You are going to have a normal baby. Once I went to a church.. and the pastor did a neat thing he said I want all of you to stand who have had a near death situation where you should have died, then he did if you had a sickness you were healed from he went through his list and at the end everyone was standing! God still works miracles today and I believe it! But the greatest miracle of all Benny Hinn shares in the book The Greatest Miracle - This is a wonderful Book! You will love it to order yours go to

Snakes and pigs on the farm

Here pig, pig, pig...

Clay told me once that the reason he wasn't big on pigs was once he saw a pig eat a cat! The question has come up.. Are pigs a good way of keeping snakes off your property.. well.. yes, and no.. Here is why.. Pigs will stomp a snake to death.. but not because they are chasing them but rather because they are in their area. Some animals will go after a snake but they won't keep them off your property. To learn more go to

The Raid is ON

THE RAID IS ON! ... He raids the chicken coop killing more than he can eat and may bring it a long way from the farm... it's the FOX!

Here is a crafty critter you won't want to see on your farm. I have seen this beautiful creature a few times since I moved out to the country but thankfully not in my yard!    A fox will clean out your chickens in a night.. he'll kill them all in hopes of dragging them to his home for a nice tasty meal. We have guinea hens and geese to alarm us if they see Mr. Fox.   Fox are pretty cool in that they eat both plants and animals and all kinds of stuff...including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! They will eat berries like our mulberry tree in the yard or our strawberries. Some people actually even keep foxes for pets  The chicken farmer is well aware of the vices of the fox. The fox is relentless in pursuing a good chicken meal especially in the Spring when they want to feed new family. They can jump a 6 foot fence and will look for openings to get in and can dig to get under fences too. Electric fences are helpful as well as a bigger dog to guard your flock. If you have guinea pigs, mice, chickens etc.. you may attract foxes to your property.
